Livvy and josh

When musician Livvy and coffee and guitar enthusiast Josh (wait for the story) tied the knot in April, their Leeds city wedding overflowed with heart and personal touches. As filmmakers, we were thrilled to document their modern ceremony at St George’s Church, where the couple exchanged vows before a full congregation. Family and friends from the U.S. and Canada had traveled far and wide to celebrate Livvy and Josh’s joyous union. Livvy and her bridal party made a showstopping entrance aboard a classic red double-decker bus, greeting excitedly nervous  Josh at the altar. Their handcrafted service included a thoughtful and personal sermon (and coffee).

After sealing their marriage with a kiss, the newlyweds held their reception at St Mary’s Whitkirk Church Hall. Nods to Josh’s time studying in Pittsburgh replaced the traditional cake, with guests enjoying the city’s signature cookie tables. For their first song, Livvy and Josh gave the standard first dance a  miss and instead performed a first song; with Livvy on vocals and the piano and Josh accompanying her on his handmade guitar made from coffee beans.

Documenting Livvy and Josh’s unique, deeply personal wedding was an absolute privilege. The care they poured into each special touch mirrored the great care between them as partners. It was a one-of-a-kind day we won’t soon forget.
