Nicole and Alex’s elegant August wedding at the majestic Rockliffe Hall was a dream come true. Nicole, a dress designer at Elise Designs, spent the morning in the bridal suite preparing with her four bridesmaids, ending in an emotional first look with her father and maids. She wore the first of three wedding dresses she designed and handcrafted herself for her special day. Meanwhile, Alex got ready with his three groomsmen. Their first look on the picturesque grounds was a teary, tender moment between the bride and groom. Guests arrived to the gentle melodies of a pianist and guitarist welcoming them. Nicole walked down the aisle to her groom and joyful confetti followed their heartfelt I do’s.

The reception was just as thoughtfully planned, with couple photos on the grounds, touching speeches and toasts, choreographed first dance to The Shires’ “Black and White,” doughnuts in lieu of cake, and two rocking band sets with a buffet break in between. Nicole changed into the second wedding dress she made before their first dance, then the third for the second band’s glow stick-infused champagne-spraying finale. From morning prep through the sparkler send-off, Alex and Nicole’s classy yet fun wedding was a joy to film.
